Surley taking energy out of the wind will effect the climate even more so, energy in the wind is there for a reason. If we start erecting wind turbines could that not effect the climate, more so then fossil fuels?

I AM AWARE that wind is a renewable resource. I am stating that...taking energy from the wind will take energy out of the wind, if you take energy out of the wind how can we be sure climate wont change because of this.

I worked as a land surveyor on several wind farms, and I''ve wondered that too. The things are really very huge and are places to take advantage of of the best local wind conditions....I would say not though, unless there are dozens of windfarms in every county...I'm sure they affect the wind, but they don't dewind nature by much......in the future could it be a concern, maybe

If we took enough energy out of the winds through wind turbines, we can drastically affect the climate, just as surely as we can drastically change the climate by altering or shutting down thermohaline currents in the oceans. But the reason why we don't worry about it is because even with the most crowded windmill farms, only a tiny fraction of the total wind energy is being extracted from it.
In fact, "energy density" plots of wind currents around the world show that wind energy can't feasibly provide for all global energy needs. At best, it can only provide a supplementary percentage of it. Energy from wind is practical only if there's sufficient yearly average wind velocity at a given place.

You can't take energy out of the wind. Wind pushes the blades which turns the turbines which make the energy. The wind is just the force to push the blade.
That same wind can be used to push other blades (and turn other turbines). Here the wind loses nothing. This kind of technology has been around for centuries - look at windmills in holland or pinwheels at fairs.

My dear, It would never effect the climate. In fact you are not not utilizing wind but geting help from wind. So As long if nature is not disturbed it is not at all harmful. But if the trees are cut to space wind mills and no further trees are grown then it will definitly effect climate. Wind mills or turbine are harmless but what about the other energy maker plants such as Nuclear plant, coal plant, and other. it not only effect the climate directly and appernetly hazardous.

Same effect as smoker have on climate.
Same effect as those who burn fossile fuels.
Liberals will say no because they don't want anything that as nice as wind power have a down side. Except if you are a Kenndy than you don't want wind power where they live but for the rest of us should live with it.
Me wind, solar, nuclear, coal, fuel cells, etc are all good things to get us off Middle East oil so the Muslims will go back to what they do best herd sheep in the sand.

The nationwide Unit Temperature Society (NUTS) have determined that through messing with the organic wind currents utilising wind generators, we are able to reason sail bots to bypass backwards and tornadoes to spin sideways. Al Gore is operating on a very last answer, yet on the instantaneous he's urging all and sundry to give up blowing out birthday candles and whistling. it really is a nationwide emergency and should be taxed now!

Newtons law of energy conservation says something like no energy in the universe is lost it only changes states. the kinetic energy from the wind will generate power and give off heat that will rise and cause air currents(wind)

What a well taught liberal pupil, NOOOOOOOO! Take a look at the earth from outer space! You couldn't take a meaning full amount of energy out of the wind with a trillion windmills!!

No, wind is a renewable resource, generated by the sun heating the earth differentially.

Very locally, perhaps, and even then not significantly. You would need millions of windmills to slow down the wind enough.
