Yes and No. I think half the people do and half the people don't, which could be said of any people of different ethnicities. However, there are many black people who comes up on tv shows, so yes, they are popular. But the thing is, it's mostly men...you don't see a lot of black women on tv.
I'm Japanese, and I have seen some Japanese people marry black people, in real life and on documentaries in magazines and tv shows. Mostly, though, it's Japanese women marrying black men (although there are some vice versa).
Overall, though, I think they do. Both whites and blacks are liked in Japan compared to other races, usually, but that doesn't mean everyone likes them.

of course! i'm not japanese but i can tell you that race arn't a factor at all but looks is, they might seem to ignore black people because they think in their mind that he or she is so different from them that they don't know what to react but if you start a conversation they'll be super nice! but remember, there are shallow people everywhere in the world so don't judge the entire race just beacuse of one idiot, good luck ^_^

well of the questions and answers that are on this website, I would think not considering that EVERYONE thinks that we Black women are sooo ugly and disgusting. It is a sad state what Black women have to put up with on a daily basis. That's ok because I try to put God first in my life, I feel blessed by Him. I do not need a male's approval on how to love myself and live a God-fearing life.
