Having a made bed makes the whole room look cleaner, even if there are piles of clothes on the floor. But hey, just shut the door and forget about it. If it doesn't bother you and there is no-one that you care to please with a clean room, there is no law saying that you have to make your bed.

fixing the bed, cleaning your room,, shining your shoes,, everyday things that you do all instill discipline, cleanliness,
and a sense of self worth. hygiene and room appearance
are nice but contolling yourself and maintaining a clean
healthy enviroment is all about discipline,, something you
will always need in life,,, be slob now and you will always be
a slob,,,this will reflect on you at home, work and play,, even
the kind of person you marry!! only a pig would marry a pig!

well for one it makes the whole room look a lot cleaner, for two, it feels so much better to crawl into a nicely made bed as opposed to one with covers and pillows scattered all about.

It keeps dust and things from being in your sheets. It makes it cozy at bed time, and your room won't look so messy.
