From what I understand - no it won't increase your chances. It might actually hurt your chances because the semen could go behind your cervix and not get into where they're supposed to go. But if you lie in bed for about 20 minutes afterward with a pillow under your hips then that is said to increase your chances.

First of all- the other answers to this question are stupid and I don't think they understood what you are asking. I completely understand what you are asking- I've read the same thing that each month there is a 20%-30% chance of getting pregnant, but no one ever gives the stats if a couple has timed their intercourse properly (during the fertile days). Of course there are other factors that play into these things- weight, age, etc. In addition, not every woman ovulates on the 14th day of her cycle. Ovulation varies from woman to woman, so that's also poor advice. My husband and I are on the first cycle of TTC- I would recommend that you read the book, Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It teaches you the things to look for besides "counting 14 days backwards" since that it certainly not the case for every woman. I have found that it is most helpful. Good luck! Try to relax- it's hard, I know! :)

No it does not my son was 10 and it took that long to get pregnant with my daughter. I lost 51 pounds and got pregnant in 2004 with my daughter. I am not saying that you are over weight but maybe try dropping a few pounds might help. I was married for 4 years and I tried everything even getting in the upside down position and nothing.

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/LBQ9a

Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.

lol.......I've tried it all over the years. Sounds to me that you may be having a fertility issue. To be on the safe side and to settle your questions I would seek a professional opinion. There may be something very simple while on the other hand there could be the need for medical intrvention. Best of luck, your in my prayers.

Have your husband behind you while having sex (doggy style). Something about the angle that allows the little guys to swim straighter to where they need to be. Worked for me.

Somehow the little guys know that they need to travel "up", so having your legs in the air after sex might confuse them and they will go against gravity, and swim the wrong way!

No it doesnt, your best bet is to stop thinking about it and just enjoy......if you are worried you may have a fertility problem see your doctor and he/she can advise you. Lots of couples take a year or more to conceive. When I was trying to get pregnant I had sex everyother day on the days around ovulation and that worked really well...good luck
