In anyone's experience after coming off of birth control did it take longer to get pregnant than maybe if you never would have taken birth control to begin with?

It depends on the type of birth control.
If a person was taking birth control pills for 3-10 years then it can take up to a year to conceive a child.
If a person had a IUD, then concieveing is quicker.

THe longer your on birth control pills, the longer you have to wait to get pregnant, Unless your lucky.

I was on the pill 6 years and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months already.
It just depends. It has taken my body a little getting used to having to do things on its own without the pills telling it what to do.
Some people have great stories and say it only takes a month or so and some years. It just depends.
One thing you could do is skip some pills and try that way ( people who arent trying do that and get pregnant everyday)
or if your period doesnt come on its own just take one birth control pill so it will come. If not check with your Dr.
Good luck and take care.

It depends on the kind of birth control. It may take a couple of months after you go off the pill or shot to get pregnant, but it could happen the first time you ovulate after you stop the pill.

I've been on birth control pill for about 5 years before I got off. I got pregnant the week after getting off the pill. I didn't just stop middle of the pack. I stopped taking it after I finished the whole pack.

I didn't think I could get pregnant right after getting off the pill. My friend tried to have a baby after getting off the pill but she couldn't. I think she got off on it in the middle of the pack.

Good luck

I had 2 shots of depo back to back. The last one wore off 14th August 2006. I still have not had period. I am trying to conceive and it is pretty disheartning the fact that I am not even ovulating. I am unsure when my period will return and if I will be able to conceive naturally I guess only time will tell. My periods were spot on every 28 days prior to the birth control.

If you take the pill and get off it you actually can get pregant faster that first month. Then your body gets confused and it might take several years.
