It was an Italian restaurant. Can't remember the name of the place, but the waiter brought the bread out in his armpit. Then he tripped when bringing the food out to us. The only reason he didn't fall to the floor is my hubby and myself grabbed the table to keep it from sliding. He carried the drinks with his fingers inside the glass, and asked the people next to us if they wanted ice in their soda pops.
Not sure it was a great experience, but it sure was memorable

It was the first time I took my husband to Tres Hermanos. He'd lived here longer than me, but I'd eaten there before and I swore the food would be incredible. It's a tiny little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, really cheap but huge portions. He was amazed he'd never found it before. Now in the summer we eat there every week and then wander around the Chef's Market. We call it our date night and always have fun.

i would have to say a small irish bistro in monterey, ca called shane's. our first time there my husband and i were on a date while trying to save our marriage. of course the owner didn't know this and asked if we were on our honeymoon since we looked so happy together. her comment left a lasting impression on me and helped us realize we were far better off together than apart. that is now one of my favorite places to eat out at.
