my brother has a discovery TDi, when he presses the clutch it wont go into gear,do u know what is wrong with it and how does he fix it.

if it has a hydrolicly operated clutch lever which it most likley has , you will need to check the reservior to see that it has brake fluid in it, and is at the correct level , if it is full then you will need to bleed the system , look for leaks when you do so. Or your clutch has collapsed

try filling the clutch reservoir wirh brake fluid pumping clutch a dozen timesand or broken clutch fingers

it mite be that u need a new clutch plate or something. or the pressure plate needs replacing?. take it to ur local dealer or garage and they will tell u. hope this helps.

It may only need fluid.Also you could have a bad slave cylinder.I've had the same problem on two different cars.

which gear, if its first all isnt lost, you will just have to live with taking off in second.
