or would you want him to give you a choice of cars that you could get and then you pick from those or would you just want him to go with you and protect you from getting screwed over when you are buying a car?

Let him pick it out, I don't care about cars too much If it starts and get be from A to B I'm good.

I can pick out my own vehicle and prevent myself from getting ripped off from some salesman. I can also buy my own vehicle. However, we usually go together and make the decision together. If we are crunched for time I will go myself and then he decides if he likes the vehicle but he trust my financial abilitities.

I wouldn't want a man buying me a car at all, unless he was my husband, and in that case WE'D be buying the car. Short of that, there are way too many strings attached, and I like the satisfaction of buying and owning my own cars -- all three of them. :)
