Hi,
Not sure if you've ever heard of BeautiControl or not, but it's an excellent company. The products are absolutely wonderful and the parties are fun and relaxing. I love all the products, and they have a very large variety to choose from. Please check out their site, it says $179 to join, but this month there is a $179 rebate offer, so it's like joining for free. Amazing offer if your serious about building a business for yourself. When the site prompts you to find a consultant my number is 1029211, or email me at turbin_barbie@yahoo.com for more information.

Good Luck!
Barbara

Well before you can get an answer to that question you really need to consider HOW you are going to run that business. Do you have any marketing experience? If the answer is no, I would suggest that you learn as much as you can about network marketing. I have been in the industry for a few years now and I am just beginning to understand the concept. The old way of marketing really sucks. Who wants to cold call leads or buy leads without any knowledge if they are even interested in your business. I have posted some resources below to help you a bit.

As far as detecting a good opportunity, well you really need to do your research and whatever you do, don't jump in. If it is legit it will be there when you are ready. Do not join a start up company whatever anyone tells you. 90% of companies go out of business in their first 3 years. That will leave you with nothing.

I have also written an article on Choosing a Direct Sales Company that you can take a look at below.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you have.

Anything not local is suspect. If the the store owner down the street wants you to do his bookkeeping at home, that's solid. But if someone with a post office box in Las Vegas has some scheme for you, watch out.

Do not pay any fees up front. Do not do anything which involves your having to spend money on postage or supplies or training materials. The money flow should be one way, from them to you. If they want money from you, it's a scam. If they want you to go out and buy stamps or anything else first, it's a scam.

Ask them when you will get paid and how and have them put it in writing. You wouldn't go to a McDonald's and pay them $50 to be able to wash dishes for them, and you wouldn't agree to bring your own soap and pay for the electricity powering the dish machine. Don't fork out cash upfront for any at home deal either.

In general, at home deals are not good for the people who get involved in them. It is possible that there may be one or two real ones, but there are a few chances that you'll win the lottery, too.

Most at home work deals are in fact aimed at the people who, rather than get a real job, keep buying scratch tickets in the hope of winning the cash they need without working for it.

If you have the itch to work for yourself, do your own business, find your own customers and sell your own product or service. Or else get a regular job.

Lots of good ideas out there, and lots of bad ones too. The best litmus test is are you creating value for others who are paying you? If you are, then you've got a good plan. If you feel like you're going to be sponging off other people's work, the people selling you the opportunity are selling to your greed and laziness. Poor business models usually take the form of pyramids, and involve you selling your family and friends on selling their family and friends on selling their family and friends etc...

A good work from home business will realistically create positive cash flow for you and value for your customers.

Make sense?

If this is a good answer, gimme a thumbs up! Thanks!

Most pay sweat shop wages at best, and some are just trying to lure you in to buying an overpriced sales kit.

The people I know who work from home are selling expertise that is rare and expensive to get.

People with little education or experience will earn their market value - next to nothing.
