it's normal to get a urinary tract infection, or a yeast infection. you might want to go see your doctor, because you need antibiotics for the first, and he can tell you what over the counter meds to get for the second. make sure you use protection EVERY time you have sex, because that pain could be much more than a urinary tract infection, it could be an std (but i wouldn't worry about it quite yet. just go see your doctor.)
good luck!

I hope you saved it for within a marriage commitment.
Not sure if it's normal to get the honeymoon infection but if there was poor hygeine involved even by accident, that could cause an infection. The husband's privates should steer clear of the anal area to protect you from an infection as well. Both parties should have clean hands and fingernails as well. If you are having sex outside of marriage, a bladder infection might begin to be the least of your worries. The safest sex is absinence until marriage and keep it within those boundaries. Your kids and grandkids will thank you as well and odds are you will be a happier healthier person.
Oh, and when you get an antibiotic, get some bifidophilus/acidophilus to go along with it to keep the candida under control or the antibiotic will cause troubles as it kills the good and bad bacteria. Eat yogurt and drink straight pure cranberry juice concentrate as well or buy an excellent product combination from a reputable health food store exactly for this problem that builds up the organ tissues specifically affected.

There is something called 'honeymoon cystitis". It's a overuse issue, really.
Are you certain that this is a bladder infection? Have you seen a doctor about this and been diagnosed with a bladder infection, or is this what you think you have? Because if you had unprotected sex, if he didn't use a condom, you might have an STD and not a bladder infection.
So, please, do yourself a favor and see a doctor. No matter what this is, you do need to be properly diagnosed, which means seeing a doctor, and you need to be treated, which generally means that you need to see a doctor.

Most likely you will regret having sex for the first time. But I can
assure you that you will not get a bladder infection from sex. You may get something you don't want, but a bladder infection is not one of them.
Drink a lot of water and cranberry juice. No soda's.

You can get a urinary tract infection. When you have intercourse, bacteria can enter your urethra. The bacteria travel up your unrinary tract and cause and infection. Symptoms may include burning, itching, pressure and urgency. You can get an over the counter treatment at a drug store called AZO standard. also, drink lots of water and cranberry juice. You may still want to be checked by a MD. You may need an antibiotic or you could have contracted an STD. Std symptoms can mock urinary tract infection symptoms. In the future, using safe sex practices would be a wise decision.

Yes, especially if he didn't use protection. I would even think he may have given you a sexually transmitted infection or disease....and he may have not even knew he had it. The best thing you can do, is to go get checked out by a doctor, before you start having more problems. Best of luck to you.

Common, yes.
Normal, no.
The bladder infection must be eliminated, through any effective means. Home treatments include plenty of water, cranberry juice, vitamin C, and eliminating caffeine and sugar. If it persists more than a day or so, PLEASE see your doctor! Bladder infections can be very serious, and progress to kidney infections.
