Are you sure it is from the washer and not the dryer. You can check by using a dry white cloth and scrub it around the tub/drum surface inside both appliances. If cloth is clean both times, then try scrubbing it on the back of the dryer drum in all the crevices you find. Sometimes the manufacturing process does not get a good coat of paint on the inside of a dryer drum and a small amount of rust will appear and stain clothing. Especially shirt collar tips. If is from the washer you will probably be able to determine if it is grease on the cloth. I am not a professional appliance repairman, and not sure where it might come from. It might be from the water itself. Especially if you have had a lot of rain in your area.

Could be that or rust stains. Check the inside and see if you see any rust on the tub. If not, then call a technician to repair it.
