would you quit your job?

Question

My husband has an idea to start his own business. it sounds loke a good idea and i think that it just might work but i am employed and making $12/hour in a shop. in order to start this business we would have to move to a place that is a five hour drive from where i work. what would you do?

p.s. we have 4 children ages 1-10

HE says that he can go there to set things up before we all move there would you aggree to this (we've been married for 10 years and i have no worries about him cheating)

I have started a few businesses of my own that did not work out. I would not travel five hours to go to work for 12/hour. Maybe he should start his business closer to home. What is the business? I have moved my child from a school system that he was happy to a school system he was not to start a business. We ended up moving back to the school system we was happy in. He is much happier now. I guess what I am saying is look at the big picture, job, kids, home, school, business, etc. Good luck.

Keep your job! Help your husband with his business as well. You will have a load to carry with 2 jobs and you family. In the long run...If it works out in about a year or two, then you can.
I would not give it up because the monies from your job will be greatly needed over the year, plus.

Tough question. You plan on moving? Do you think your husband has a chance and would you deny him this opportunity? What would I do, I would be terrified. Depends if I feel his business would be a success. Sounds like you already do. Good luck.

Only if we had enough savings & cushion to both quit our jobs. My husband and I are working our own business, but neither of us quit until we could. Good luck & much success to both of you!
