PCs tend to be cheaper and can very often be repaired.
Laptops are very difficult to repair and more liable to develop faults..
My son is a well-qualified IT engineer and when I got a PC with processing tower, he was quite happy to do any repairs.
When, however, I got a laptop he insisted that I should pay for an extended guarantee because if anything went wrong then it would probably be impossible to repair it.
