We added foam boards to the rafters on the inside of our roof, It cut our heating and cooling bill in half, and our house is ALWAYS comfortable! You can always insulated under your floor to keep the cold air from comming in that way.

My mom lives in a drafty old house and she hangs blankets from the doorways to keep the heat in the rooms that she uses more often. She also hangs a blanket from the doorway that leads upstairs to keep all the heat from going up there while she's downstairs. She'll use weatherproofing tape around some windows and the back door which she doesn't use much in the winter. Other people I know have put large sheets of weatherproofing plastic wrap over their windows to seal them and to keep out the cold draft.

you could board up the crawl space vents, just make sure that you take the boards off when the weather gets warmer. also, try lighting a candle or two in the room, you'd be amazed at how much heat it will create. also, put plastic up over any doors or windows.

keep warm!!

Get your self a roll of thick plastic, measure for height,go around the whole outside of the house, tack it good, cut it and use it inside on the windows,if you have a attic, put it across the whole floor of the attic This is a cheap very cheap quick fix.

Put plants in your home and water them every other day., they will put off moisture, which will put humidity in your home. which will make your home warmer. Or you could put a can of water on the gas heater so that it evaporates and add humidity in the rooms.
