you just made me miss being younger
my brother and i used to do that all the time and pretend that we were in a home base or some sort of army fort...
and we would fill it with out stuffed animals to make it more fun.
we'd spend a whole day in there, bringing food in and playing battleship from across the fort.
don't you miss those times when the simple things were the best?

Lol. Yeah, I did. You just made me remember some childhood moments... I think most kids do. ~
When we were little, me and my sis, would turn our rooms in battlefields. We would choose sides, She would be on her side, the wall in front of the bed, and we would both cover our sides with pillows and blankets. Lol.
We would also make caves and tents. We used to use sticks or random sharp objects to support the blankets and when we were upset or we just needed refuge, we went there and talked to hide from our parents. Lol. Silly.
And just to show how creative we could be (heh), we also used to turn our rooms into huge spiderwebs. We used to take pieces of strings and tie them up around the room, making it all look like a spiderweb. You can imagine my parent's reaction. ~

I used to take all the kitchen chairs and all the blankets I could find and build a cave. It was so much fun...I had to show my kids how to properly build a cave (including a small loft for the youngest) when theirs was destroyed by the clumsy next door neighbor kid. Good times...

My siblings and I would clothespin the blankets on to every piece of furniture; back of chairs, couches, desk handles; until the whole room was a giant "cave" and then we'd put pillows and flashlights and books and snacks in them and just hide all day. It was so great, I miss being a kid... :-(

lol yes, we made club houses by hanging blankets from the top bunk of a bunk bed set.
And we made air tents by tieing a sheet to a box fan, then holding the sides down with toys.
And if we were lucky and our mom was buried in a good romance novel, we would drape blankets over the kitchen chairs and make tunnels.caves/tents/club house...whatever we were pretending that day.lol fun stuff right there.
Til, this day...I let my kids get away with that sort of thing too, just so lonng as they clean it up.

Sure did. Now my 7 year old does it. My mom hated when I did it. Every single sheet or blanket was used. From the dining room to the living room. But it was fun

No but my friends and I did it outside after a really good snow storm and the plows have been through and the drifts get real big. Little did we know how dangerous it would have been if one would have caved in! But what did we care we were kids. It was fun!

You have a great mind young lady. This is the second cool question I have seen from you today. I had two brothers and one sister and we made caves all through the living room of the house. Thanks for the memories.

Yes but we called them tents. We had a big dining room table with chairs all around and we'd put blankets all over the chairs. We had flashlights in there. We'd eat lunch in there and take naps there too. What fun!!
