I'm in a dorm with 3 other guys. there are two bathrooms. The one I use always gets a water ring around it after a while. So it has to be cleaned often. So I was wondering if I should use 2000 flushes to help prevent the ring. The Blue one, because I like the blue color water.

Have you used it? If so what are your reviews of it. The pros and cons of it.

Is it safe to use? Will it mess up the toilet. Because I don't have extra $$$$ to pay to my college, if it needs to be fixed.

It won't mess up the toilet.

But... if you have to empty the tank and there is any carpet around, it can bleach out the color from the carpet.

Pros... much less cleaning.
Cons... Only some of the "very new" toilets have large seals (4 inch?) and the toilet cleaner can affect them. I don't think "damage" is the right word as much as weaken and cause them to drip.

PS.. The blue one is the right one to use if you think the maintenance man might not notice the clear bleach as present.

I have hard water AND a septic tank, and I've had great luck with the 2000 flushes drop-into-tank chlorine tablet.
It's not BLUE, but it works great at keeping mineral deposits away.
And no harm to anything.

My brother is a MASTER plumber---he says they are fine!

2000 Flushes has not worked for me. What does work is scrubbing the stain with a pumice stone, which you can get in any hardware store.

They work for your purpose.

But they are hard on the workings of the toilet. Most plumbers don't recommend them.
