Has anyone read Battle Royale?

My husband read it a few months ago and loved it. He recently rented the movie and said it was worth watching. I'm not really into psychological/murder stuff so I haven't read it yet. He's recommended it to a lot of people as a good read.

i just started the book and i love it!
There;s just something about it that grips me, I can't put it down.
But I must say, the premise creeps me out and i'm kinda glad i'm not in middle school anymore. haha.
