I've read that you're supposed to take your hoses indoors during winter. I've always left mine outside, and yet they've always worked just fine in the spring. I live in the Upper Midwest, so I know it gets cold enough to freeze.

It won't hurt most quality hoses, but make darn sure the hose is unhooked from the house. If the hose freezes up while on the spigot it can crack your water pipe.

I don't think your hoses "lifespan" will be as long as one that is taken indoors during the winter. However you most likely don't have a nozzle on the end of your hose ....therefore the ice has room to expand.

The water that comes out of the hose is the exact same water that comes out of the tap contained in the ability. the in trouble-free words "yucky" portion of that's that insects can move slowly up contained in the water hose. Eww. i'm certain they go away fecal remember in all places. although, i wager if the turn the water hose on and enable it run for a 2d earlier ingesting, then it would wash all that stuff out. *shrug* I drank from the hose each and each of the time even as i grow to be a baby and that i'm healthful. If it makes you uncomfortable, only search for suggestion from someone on the ability about it.

Yes. It may not seem to have a big effect but it does. It could wear out your rubber on the hose. So at winter time toss it into your garage
