Why won't my iPod Nano turn on?

I got an iPod Nano for Christmas. I let the battery run down til it was completly dead. Now it won't turn on. When I plug it in to charge it won't turn on to the screen. I don't know what to do and I hope it's not broken since I just got it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

Have you tried using the USB cable, too? Or are you only using the A/C charger? The chip in your battery needs to be reset from the computer end. Use your USB cable to charge it first. This happened to my buddy's iPod. It wouldn't hurt to call customer service, as well.

Okay just plug it in for about an hour, and then re try to turn it one, make sure your pressing hard enough, because sometimes mine tends to get stuck as well. Also If you have dropped it at all it probably is broken ipods are very sensitive.

If you still cannot figure it out have someone else try, mabey they can turn it on, who knows?

And if it is broken you should still be able to refund for a new one, i think apple carries a warranty. So you can go to the apple website or call them, (just google ipod or apple) and they also should have there phone number on there, be sure to tell them wether you dropped it or not. I know it sucks that you might have to get a new one and its going to probably take a while before you have your new one, but the bright side is that you barely got it on christmas so you still have the chance of a refund.

I don't know if this helps, but did you check to see if the "hold" switch is on? It is located at the top of the iPod. If it is on, it will show an orange mark inside the slot.

try reseting it to reset it press menu and middle button at the same time. if it still does not work go to where you bought it and ask them.

if its doesnt reset then go flash a new software
