Does changing gear on a car with the clutch up while the engine is off damage the gears in anyway?

Can't be good for the clutch....can I ask why you'd rather grind the gears.....

no, there is no movement to cause damage. if the engine aint running and the car is stopped it would not get damaged( unless the gear lever comes out in your hand.)

Yes it does, it can and in most cases will start chipping away at the gears,costing you big bucks or replacement

no as the gears arnt spinin it dosent great and try and force its way in to gear my dads a f1 reserch and development enginear so thats how i no
