I had my c-section on Jan 3rd. I came home on Jan 6 and I have diarrhea ever since. I have lost 29 lbs since I gave birth. I can not keep anything in me. It is stingy and now has some blood mixed in it. What could be causing this? I am straving all the time and don't want to eat because I know what is going to happen.

The blood has only been happening the past two days and I do think it is from my *** being raw.

What are you doing online? Get to an emergency room. Bloody stools are bad news.

losing 29lbs since you gave birth is no big deal... you lost baby weight, amniotic fluid weight, also water weight, extra blood etc etc - hence the reason why after you give birth you have to pee soo much- your body is releasing/disposing of all the extra fluid your body has been carrying around. If you have diarrhea it's because you aren't eating correctly and you need to start eating things to help your stools to not be sooo soft. YOU NEED TO EAT! It stings because your *** if probably raw from having the squirts. Have you never had diharrea before????????? If you aren't breastfeeding- go get some immodium ad- otherwise call your dr and find out what you can take while you are breastfeeding. And hopefully since you are starving yourself you arent breastfeeding- you're going to have no milk very very soon then.
IF you have blood in your stool- you need to call the Dr's office. This is never a good thing- but it could just be from your butt being raw- or blood still from bleeding from having a baby. But call your dr.

You need to call your doctor right now and ask him what you should do. The losing lbs part isn't bad, I lost almost that much just after giving birth alone. I had a C-Section too, but I never had any of those problems. I just couldn't tell when I had to go to the bathroom until I tried. LOL I would be concerned about the blood, and call just to make sure. They should have given you a number for the hospital, call that one, the nurses will help you, or they will have the on call doctor call you back. I assume you are not breastfeeding, but if you are, then you have got to eat. You need to be able to eat anyway to keep your strength up to take care of your baby. :)

I had my third c-section 3 weeks ago. Going to the bathroom was really difficult but then it seemed like all of a sudden it was a little "too easy" to go. I had taken stool softeners for the first week and it was like they all started working after a week. I would see your doctor though, especially if you haven't taken anything to help things move. Always better safe than sorry, a c-section is still major surgery!

Having blood in your stools is never okay. My friend had the same problem and she waited a long time to go to the doctor. She was pregnant at the time and ended up miscarrying. She finally went to the doctor and has colitis and ulcers on her colon. It is now a permanent condition and she has to take medicine everyday. Please go to the doctor.

it could be hemmorroids, causing the bloody stool, but I would get it checked, you can never be too sure. Drink lots of water too. Good luck with the new baby!
