They love the right to say what they can! As hair-brained and goofy as what they whine about, we all benefit from actually seeing how silly most of them are.
They feel more at home in a Socialist state. Like Canada, Germany or France.

Nothing. Everything that ever goes wrong in the world is Americas fault. Especially conservatives.
Where would they feel more at home? They want us to have a "global community". There is a group called "World Federalist Association" - members include Walter Cronkite, Kurt Vonnegut, Joan Baez, Martin Sheen, and Mike Farrell. From their Statement of Goals and Beliefs:
* "The nations of today need to transform the present weak United Nations system into - or replace it with - a truely effective global institution or family of institutions having the authority to maintain world peace...and the capacity to promote a more just world society." (Well, I gotta admit that I agree with them a little here - the UN is a joke)
* "As steps towarad achieving our goal, World Federalists support efforts...to hold a convention to draft a world federal constitution, and also efforts to create new global institutions." (Just exactly what we need!!)
* "We also seek to gain acceptance of the concept that each individual is a citizen of the world as well as a citizen of his or own city, state, and nation." (Nothing wrong with being considerate of your neighbors, but what is so bad about being American or Canadian or English?)
* "We believe that a world federation should be given adequate powers to...deal with those other urgent global problems in an ungoverned world. Those problems include air and sea piracy, terrorism, slavery, weapons proliferation, narcotics trade, money laundering, and pollution that crosses national boundaries." (Wouldn't that be interferring with the sovreignty of other nations? Sounds like a license to butt in anywhere they please.)
* "A world federation would have jurisdiction over non-national areas: the oceans, the polar regions, and outer space and would operate transitional authorities to oversee the recovery and democratization of failed political unites whose people have been unable to govern themselves." (So - anyone too weak to oppose them could be taken over. And they say that BUSH is bad?)
* "Such a federation must have limited but adequate sources of revenue." (We just love paying for the UN - lets spend EVEN more money)
* "It must be able to establish a world peacekeeping force which would replace national military establishmentscapable of conducting international war." (Giving them the strongest fighting force in the world.)

I like the fact that any moron can write or say whatever he wants. It is a triumph. Any ignorant yoo-hoo is free to support whatever system he or she wants, even one that gives him or her the violent shaft up the rear.
Yep, even the Ned Beatty deliverance lovers are free to espouse whatever twisted ideology is against their personal interest, and they can even brag about it. They can spread their farts around and gloat even as they are being impaled from behind.
Masochism is legal here in America. And , it's a good thing, because there are a lot of posters here that would be in jail if it were not.

I don't like the U.S. I love her!
I complain about the people in charge valuing money over the environment, and caring more about personal gain than humankind. That is why I find it so hard to believe that any kind person could ever be a republican.
Republicans do seem to favor money over people. That is why I am a liberal.
P.S.
I love Jane!

I'm also struggling to figure out who this "far left" is...
Is it just people that make the news a lot?? Like Cindi Sheehan and Sean Penn?? Bono?? I don't think they dislike anything about the U.S. Just the people in charge and the current policies..

Nothing. The far left is socialist, showing you that liberals are very close to being socialist. They hate America, they love a system like the EUropean Union, France etc. including Nat'l healthcare. But what they do not realize is that America is a much better place to live...no one's blowing up cars due to labor disputes. Our population is not going to be overrun by muslims in the next few decades. Contental Europe and their liberal friends are in for a rude awakening. So is the US if the liberals win 08.

The far left would love to turn America into Cuba or Venezuela, but then they would hate it because they wouldn't have the freedoms they want to deny Iraqi's.

Those of us on the far left NEVER complain about the US.
We complain about the people in power and the policies they enact.
