how long should the mother have to decide if she wants the abortion?

No, its okay for any circumstance and I will tell you why.
(57% of Americans support early abortion in any case)

Because women know about abortion, and you can never erase this knowledge, whether or not abortion is legal, there will ALWAYS be abortions performed.

I personally would never have one but I will not force a woman to get a back-alley coat hanger abortion that will endanger her life, and that is what desperate women will resort to if they have to, and many viable human beings will die.

This is not a political issue, it is a right to life issue for women.

I will say (along with 86% of Americans) that I do despise late term abortions. They are disgusting, and there is no excuse for waiting that long.

I think abortion is okay before the fetus can think, reason, and have memories. this happens between the 12th and 24th week (sorry I forgot the actual week, but at least I remembered what trimester)

I think its an even more important choice to consider when its rape or incest. I feel bad for a child born of incest because they have a higher chance of being deformed- but many people born of incest aren't so, you just have to pray/hope for the best if you're not going to terminate.

rape resulting in pregnancy is also a hard thing to deal with. the fetus will alwasy remind you that you were raped. if you are forced to carry to term, its like being raped for 9 months straight (you're attacker is still penetraiting you- this time its with his genes)
but if a woman wants the child its alright, too. I just hope she never takes it out on the kid. I've met people who've done so- both intentionally and unintentionally.

in any case the choice is up to the woman and no one can say anything on the matter unless they will take on the responcibility she is carrying. including adopting the child so they don't spend their life in foster care where they will experience some emotional trama due to being moved house to house. others have reported physical and sexual abuse in some group homes.
either way adoption sounds great, but if you are not adopted its not.

Yes I think so. Sex is a consentual act whereby both parties consent to the sex and the consequences. During rape a person is not able to give consent and thus should not have to accept the consequences.

Sorry but I think rape victims have the right to abort their fetus. Naturally the earlier the better. I don't think any kid wants to hear about how he's a product of a heinous act like rape.

The problem isn't the rape victims doing abortions, it's that people will rape women in the first place...

i think of that it is stupid. Abortion is the two homicide, and then it is so, notwithstanding the reason for concept, or that's not ditto. interior the midsection a while, the catholic church actual made a distinction between the fetus and the embryo, purely these days has it defined existence as beginning from concept. so that's nonetheless an fairly muddled concern. i'm not likely to be sanctimonious yet, interior the case of rape, you could understand the female will possibly not decide to nurture the newborn, SO there might desire to be a social "protection internet"prepared to care and love the toddler. Why do not we attempt engaged on that? And on all undesirable infants? Then the priority of abortion will possibly not be so undesirable.

No, it's never okay to kill an innocent human being at any stage. Would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Children should not be punished with death for the crime of their fathers. Do you think they are less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of their conception?

Furthermore, abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a woman who has been raped. Abortion does not erase the fact of the rape, but only causes the mother to become the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim the way she was hurt. Rape is bad; murder is worse. The knowledge of what she has done to her child will haunt her long after she has healed from the rape. Studies have shown that the majority of women who abort a child conceived in rape regret it, while none of the mothers who choose to give birth express regret (see links below).

In the case of incest, abortion allows the molester to cover up the evidence of his crimes and continue his abuse. It is often the molester who pushes for abortion.

Preferably with in the first trimester.People don't seem to realize the the fetus feels pain when it's violently scraped and sucked from the womb. But if it was me,i wouldn't give a crap what people thought if I was raped by a blood relative, got pregnant and decided to get an abortion. But only because of the risk of retardation of the fetus. If it wasn't a blood relation I'd consider giving it up for adoption. It wouldn't be the impending child's fault that he was the product of rape. But it would be a crappy existence to not only know you were the product of rape, but also find out the reason your mildly retarded is cuz your moms uncle raped her.

A woman has the right to terminate at any time before the fetus becomes viable outside the womb. That means at least in the first trimester, and possible into the second.

A woman doesn't have to have suffered incest or rape - she has the right to control her reproduction regardless.

Abortion is always okay. I can see why someone who got impregnated due to rape or incest would be more likely to have an abortion but that doesn't mean it is less okay in other circumstances.

abortion is always ok. it's about a woman's right to choose. do what you feel is best for you, don't let anyone else control you.
