After reading some of questions and comments here on Yahoo, I am very doubtful..

You only have to read through some of this stuff to realise that many people have huge chips on their shoulders.
Intolerance, ignorance and fear are the main problems. Someone is given a hard time because of how they look, or thier religion and very soon that negativity grows and becomes bigger. Before you know it you have a disagreement, then a war.

The Jesus answer is kinda racist if you think about it. Is Jesus gonna reign over all the Muslims and Buddhists too revdauphinee's? Unfortunately we live in a world where lateral thinking is necessary and Jesus isn't ever... I mean always the answer. Hopefully in another 200 years we'll all be a nice mocha color and racism will be pointless.

No, unfortunatly racism will never disappear. Perhaps it will not exist in a million or so years, when all the races have melded into one... but that is way after our time here.

Not during our lifetime. It will take a long while for the racists and their progeny to die out. After that we'll be able to start making some progress. I'd love to se a Star Trek world (except, of course, with a lot more racial diversity).
