To all jazz-funk fanatics! Where do you go to hear new upcoming artists?

I have always loved jazz funk but never really distinguished it from R&B as a separate distinct genre, as there is quite a bit of overlap. I would like to start going to gigs and hearing new artists showcase. Can you recommend any LONDON gig venues (other than Jazz Cafe, Camden)?
