have the applicants run their free annual credit report AND pay for the FICO score.....all dated w/in 48 hours of the application.....that way, you don't have to sign up and pay a fee.
If your applicant doesn't have a credit card to pay for the FICO score, do you really want them as tenants?

It cost $20 - $35 to run a credit report. Your bank where you have your business account should run it for you.
Make sure that when someone fills out a rental application that you have them to give you the money up front for the credit check. Give them a receipt for the credit check and make sure that you write on the receipt non refundable. If their credit is bad you do not have to give them their money back for the credit check or rent the unit to them.

I use citicredit.net. It is $9.99 to pull a report but it is only Experian. It is an instant report. You can order a criminal check too. You have to be a member but it is free. You just need to show that you are a actual business. Make sure that you get a signed approval from someone to pull their credit. Live, Laugh, Love

I think you will have to set up an accout with a credit bureau. My company uses CIS. It costs about $45 if I remember right, but you legally have to have a signed authorization by them to allow you to pull credit.
