Prob not. If people do not become inspired to go from text books and documentaries, I doubt they will be from a piece of fiction.....too bad, I would love to go, however. It must be an amazing feeling to see something like that.

Perhaps, after all Braveheart did it for Scotland, The DaVinci code for Italy, and they were just as historically accurate...
BTW I was in the Yucatan a month ago, I loved it, and at no time felt that I was in any danger...so much for at least one comment on this thread.

I hope so. The ancient Mexican cultures were all awesome and still have so much to teach us. I enjoyed the movie (knowing that it was fictionalized and not historically accurate no matter what Mel Gibson claimed) and it made me want to go back to Mexico.

Not sure, but I wouldn't go. That movie was violent, and really historically accurate also. It's worth watching.
