The people who stated distance were correct: Right at about 400kms. The ones who estimated drive time didn't have a clue what they were talking about! Once you leave the city centers, the autobahn opens up and becomes a super highway with few speed limits. You can drive as fast as your car will go and you're able to control it. I've made it from Munich to Frankfurt in under 4 hours and I've taken as much as 6, depending on the traffic. Just enjoy the ride and stop when you feel to; there are some nice little towns in-between.

We have two Frankfurt in Germany
1. Frankfurt/east Germany (former GDR) to Munich: 652 km
2. Frankfurt/west Germany (FRG) to Munich: 393 km

Its not the distance its the traffic on the highways that
matters. It might take anything between 5 to 8 hours to drive depending on the day and time you start your travel.
