In the Original document the "Statement of the creation of the State of Israel it states the following,
The state of Israel willbe open for Jewish immigration and for the ingathering of the exiles! it will foster the developement of the country for the benifit of "ALL" it,s inhabitants! it will be based on freedom, justice, and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel! it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to "ALL" it,s inhabitants!irrespective of religion, race ,or sex! etc etc.
Now try to equate that with the fact that 99% of the Arab Israeli citizens are not allowed to serve in the military. This fact on its own is minimal were it not for the fact that there are generous benifits for ex vets.
In the area of Education there is discrimination as Israeli jewish students have access to approximately ten times more funds than do their Arab Israeli students. Note they both carry Israeli citizenship.
There is no written constitution in israel.

Ido not have the exact site but if you type in "essay Israeli constitution ", it is written by a Jewish Law Proffessor in Israel.
On the issue of discrimination in edu there is a book called "the other side of Israel" by Susan Nathan pages 94/95. Abook well worth reading if you would like a balanced view on the matter.

This is for auther s. I do not run on my own facts nor do I trust a source such as the one you offerred. www.denial. I have offered you a somewhat more credible backup for my facts. They are written by Israeli Jews.

if israel lays claim to the west bank and gaza, it will find itself a jewish minority state claiming to be a democracy. that is why they dont do it. that realization is the only goad to get the right wing in israel to make peace.

That is not true. Arab-Israeli citizens are not OBLIGATED to serve in the military. The reason is that the Israeli gov't doesn't want to take the chance of an IDF soldier facing a family member in the disputed territories. However, many Arab Israelis choose to serve in the military proudly.

Do you have any proof of your education claim?

Israel in its treatment of the Palestinians, is very similar to South Africa and its Apartheid regime in the 80s. Lots of similarities...
No, Israel is not a democracy... because if it's the case, than Iran and Saudi Arabia are also democracies.

It's a democracy in the sense that it only recognizes Jews as full citizens of its Parasitic Apartheid Terrorist Welfare State.

Israel has free and fair elections, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press and many other traits that would put it in the category of Democracy.
