Work is done using energy. Work is measured by how much energy is consumed. Raising a ball from the floor to the ceiling transforms chemical potential energy into gravitational potential energy.

Power is Work over time

You could say that the power of someting is how much energy it can usefully expel in an amount of time. Work and energy are not the same though as work has to be related to time where energy does not.
