Would the sales numbers be any different from what they are now?

Yes, the Wii would outsold both the xbox 360 and ps3 at first because it's cheaper and it has a new way to play games. After a while, people will migrate to the xbox 360 or ps3 because it has all type of games, can do lot of things beside playing games and better graphics.

Oh yeah. In Japan, the 360 would be doing even worse than it is now because last year, Japanese gamers bought the 360 because there was no PS3 or Wii. If they had a choice between the three systems, the 360 would be the last to go.

The PS3 and Wii shortages were supposed to help increase the 360 sales this year, but it didn't really do it. Instead it helped the DS, PSP, and PS2.

MS knew it had to be the first system out of the gate if it wanted to have any chance of being successful, so if the 360 was released in 2006, MS would be in trouble.

The wii would have sold more. Why buy a 360 or a ps2, when you already have the original? The wii is so much different...and very comparable (actually much less) in price. The wii would have sold more.
