Easy, the chicken...

Think about evolution, imagine something that looked like a chicken but had no wings layed a batch of eggs, when the eggs hatched, one of the offspring (by freak) had evolved or mutated and had wings, as the mutation allows the chicken to be more successful, and some how flee death while its siblings are killed, it there for can mate producing more of its kind.

Survival of the fittest.

Since all higher forms of animal life begin their individual lives as a fertilized egg, I would have to say the egg came before the chicken.
