humans have different eye colour because each characteristic possesed by an individual is controlled by our genes. Our eyes have a particular colour because the gene for that eye colour was dominant therefore the gene makes proteins that are required for that eye colour

Eye color is a polygenic trait and is determined primarily by the amount and type of pigments present in the eye's iris. Humans and other animals have many phenotypic variations in eye colorIn humans, these variations in color are attributed to varying ratios of the two types of melanin produced by melanocytes in the iris: eumelanin and pheomelanin.
Three main elements within the iris contribute to its color: the melanin content of the iris pigment epithelium, the melanin content within the iris stroma, and the cellular density of the iris stroma. In eyes of all colors, the iris pigment epithelium contains the black pigment, eumelanin. Color variations among different irises are typically attributed to the melanin content within the iris stroma. The density of cells within the stroma affects how much light is absorbed by the underlying pigment epithelium.

It has to do with genetics. Your parents have passed down genes to you that determine what eye color you will have. For example, if both of your parents have brown eyes, you will most likely have brown eyes. If one parent has blue eyes and another has brown eyes, you will still probably have brown eyes because the brown eye gene is dominant, while the blue eye gene is recessive.
Of course, albino people usually have light blue eyes. But that's another story... ;)

human beings have different amounts of the pigment melanin in the iris, which is also found in the skin.
albino ppl have red eyes because the iris is a muscle, so it's red without a pigment.
