No. But if we are going to exact revenge on Iran for the taking of the hostages, then we should also avenge ourselves for the murder of 241 Marines in Lebanon by Hezbollah in 1983. Hezbollah is backed by Iran and Syria.

Hes doing his best to achieve the desired result of preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons without war. The US is not in a mood for a mess 10n times that of Iraq.
On the otherhand, no american president is going to sit around and allow a roque state to get nuclear weapons.
1979 is long forgotten in the scheme of things. I mean the US is no fan of iranian gov but revenge attack? No.
