So, in France the most popular actor is shahrukh khan, and i want to know if in India it's the same thing.
Moretheless, in France, we always talk about "bollywood" for qualify hindi films... is that correct for you, or not ?

Yes, Shahrukh Khan is one of the best actors actors of the modern generation. Though there are two camps - one for SRK and one for Amitabh Bacchhan. But then such things are prsonal choice really and there is no guarantee that if your favourite actor features in a movie it will be good.
I notice in France all Indian movies are termed as Bollywood which isnt true because even though the movie may be made in India there are many movies made in regional languages and you wont be able to tell the difference when they are translated in French or shown with sub-titles.There are also movies that are made in two languages like Hindi and English together. they are mostly "art" films and are intellectual films made for a cause and apart from mainstream cinema. For example movies like "Being Cyrus".

It depends. In the Hindi film industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan are the most popular actors. But other actors like Aamir Khan, Hritik Roshan and Salman Khan also have a huge fan following. In southern India, Rajnikant, Rajkumar and Kamal Hassan are pretty popular. But Amitabh Bachchan is perhaps the most respected actor in the Indian film industry.

indias favourite actor is amitabh bachchan and yes srk is fav too but he comes after amitabh.
note.... anyone who says that amitabh is no longer hero he plays fathers role then its true but i think u have not read the question properly as this person has asked who is the fav ACTOR and not HERO so hope u understand and amitabh is the best actor all around the world.
and yes indian movies are becoming very popular overseas and that makes all indian feel proud.

Yes, in India srk is the most favourite actor and then it comes Amitabh Bachchan, see Iam a kuwaiti and in Kuwait also srk is the most favourite among the hindi actors, but personally myself I really hate him and don't like him either bcuz he over acts too much and he is very old his wrinkles says that he should quit now and get retired, I prefer amitabh bachchan to srk..............
but my alltime favourite actor is HRITHIK ROSHAN.

oui oui..srk, c'nes paux? excuse my french..hee hee..but seriously, i always thought there was a trio of "great Indian Male actors"..in any order..Big Bachan, SRK, and Aamir Khan. they are all wonderful to behold, and can carry lines quite well, without overdoing anything. however, the younger Bachan was fantastic in Guru, and i wouldn't be surprised if he overtook his father in popularity in the coming years. cheers! au revoir!

Yes, its Shahrukh khan , shahrukh khan shahrukh khan, He is famous everywhere (for bollywod films). He is been top hero for a long time and still he is number one. and Yes bollywood makes really good movies just look at their film-making, picture quality, etc etc etc.
