I don't think iTunes keeps a record of your credit card number, and if any record was kept at all in that respect, it was probably in the form of cookies -- on your computer. I think your credit card number is safe. To make absolutely sure your theif isn't buying stuff with your credit card, I'd suggest you log onto your iTunes account and make sure no songs have been purchased recently, and if not I wouldn't worry about it. I recently had my iPod stolen, myself. If I may make a broader suggestion to all victims of iPod theft, it would be this: whatever you do, don't buy another one.
ITunes keeps track of the serial number of the last iPod that was connected to it. ITunes also goes online, each time it's opened up. If Apple kept a database of serial numbers that have been flagged as stolen, they could easily make it so that iTunes didn't work for those flagged serial numbers. As a matter of fact, if iTunes recognized that it had a flagged iPod connected to it, Apple could retrieve the IP address of that computer and send it to the police, who in turn could find out who was using that computer at that time. After a little bit of questioning, you'd have caught the thief and have your iPod back. At the very least, Apple could send your iPod back to you when the thief returned it to them to replace the battery, but they don't even do that.
Bottom line: Apple's doesn't give a crap about it's customers; it cares more about making money from you and whoever stole from you. Don't buy another iPod because that's exactly what the greedy bastards want you to do.

Well, your iPod doesn't hold any of you credit card information so you dont have to worry. iTunes wonldn't allow that because it would be extremely unsafe, they can get any info through the music on your iPod dont fret. Hope this helps, Brodster

1.) I think that the account is only associated with the PC you use it on.
2.) simply cancel your I tunes account or call I tunes up and tell them what happened so that your account is not used
3.) look at your statements, most CC's have it so you can look onlne. if you do notice charges CALL YOUR CC COMPANY IMMEDIATELY!! and report that someone is using your card.
