Hello,
These days it's on open book. You can go from flats for a Audrey Hepburn look to stilettos to wedges. I am including some examples below:

It depends on the look you are going for...If you want to dress them up, then wear dressy wedges, heels, platform heels or anything with height...if you are going casual then do flip flops or tennis shoes...You pretty much can't go wrong. And always wear a nice ankle bracelet.

Personally I would wear a CUTE pair of wedges. or if you are going for a beachy look go for flip flops
