I don't, so that's not everyone. Change your reference group and all will be fine. Seriously, if many of the people you meet do mock you, ask advice of someone who knows you well, consider if there is anything you need to change, then whichever you decide enjoy your life. Some people are intolerant and shallow, and others can act like that due to insecurity because it makes them feel better. Some people cannot cope with those who are too unlike themselves, if this is the case think about why you are different and try to meet people more like yourself. On the other hand, maybe people make you out to be a laughing stock because they think you don't mind and that you enjoy the joke. In this case point out that maybe some of this is not funny, and consider keeping to your current social group.
If you are just refering to this site, then I'm sorry for twittering on, but the same principles still apply!

Don't worry about what other people think about you. The only opinion of you that affects your life is your own.
Be nice to yourself and boost your self esteem and nothing anybody can say or think of you can make you feel bad.
Most people who say nasty things to others are really reflecting how they feel about themselves.
Don't waste too much energy worying about them.
