We all have internal body clocks and they regulate when we are 'on' and at our best.

It's totally biological. I am not a morning person and I can get used to getting up early if I have to but I will never, ever be cheerful and perky in the morning. I looked it up and it sounds like the explanation is not that simple, but here's a website about it-

I don't know....that's a good question. I've never thought about that one. In my opinion, it would be a more conditioned behavior. I am not a "morning person", but I am the only one in my family that can relate to that.

the main qualification is metabolism. it takes less time for a "morning person's" metabolism too kickstart, thus making them more energetic and less moody in the morning. there are also behavioral variables, but metabolism is the only biological reason.

Good question... I don't think it's conditioned behaviour because I have tried through the years to meet my husband's sleeping pattern. It doesn't work: I'm a "sleep early wake up early" person and he's up all night and likes to sleep in.

i think it can have something to do with biology. i am a morning person. my son and daughter are not. my husband is not a morning person either. i think in some cases it is due to curcumstances, work schedule, etc. i guess it can be a little of both.

Those born in the morning are morning people, those born at night are night owls.
