It's a full moon in February/March in Western Australia that marks the start of the salmon fishing season apparently.
Also John Matelock, an illustrator makes Matelock tactiles of the planets for blind people, like pictures in braille.
Either way, there's a moon connection!

Don't know what a matelock is unless it is a brand name lock - a mattock is a tool a bit like a pick and a matelot is another word for sailor and, as others have told you there is a place Matlock in Derbyshire, England. Sorry

I don't know what a Matelock is but Matlock is in Derbyshire.
Googled it and still don't quite understand but as Grummel says, it's a moon - or something to do with one..
