what would make a cd burner become noisy like a fan running. I know its not my fan.?

it could possibly be ur rotator (the part where u place the cd onto). it could be loose.

or the cd ur trying to burn starts to curve because it's too hot in the cd drive causing a slight concave bend causing friction from the top of the cd. to test to see if ur cd is concave...place it on a flat surface. ur best bet is to let ur computer cool for a bit.
