You will have to be 18. The test drives are only for potential customers. At age 16 you are not old enough to legally enter into a car purchase contract with a dealership. Sorry.

A dealer's insurance will usually only cover adult drivers. Letting a teen test drive a car would be an enormous liability issue. Not to mention the fact that minors cannot purchase vehicles.

I believe you do have to be at least 18 to test drive cars at a dealership.

As a juvenile, you cannot legally sign a contract to purchase a vehicle. No dealer will waste their time on you without mom or dad tagging along.

you can't finance until you have credit and you can't start your credit until 18, and even then they may not take you seriously you might want to have someone older with you.
