If you have a large music collection, go with as much storage as you can afford. If you want something small to carry around with you, the shuffle would be a better option. Beware of the preowned iPod, because you get what you pay for.

DO NOT GET A NANO!!!!
2gb is only 500 4 minute songs. I have 1250 songs, and that is about 7.5 gb. most songs are more than 4 minutes too, so it's really like you would get 425 4 minute songs.

Shuffles... don't even get me started. They don't even have a screen. You have to flip through all like, 100 songs to get to the one you want. NOT worth it.

If anything at the moment, just go for a video. It has a good amount of space, and it IS worth watching stuff on that screen. The only downside about getting a video now is that you may as well wait for the touch-screen to come out in the summer. It will be the same size, bigger screen, but worth about $200 more than the original video. But still, go for a video.

Well it all depends on what your into, do you like showing off with your stuff, then go with the best you can afford. If you want small simplicity then go with the shuffle. I wouldn't suggest MP3's or preowned iPods. Hope this helps, Brodster.
