The bidet is widely used in Europe.It looks like a mini-toilet and is used to clean your privates after using the bathroom or having sex.In Latin America there is an extra faucet so you can do this,I like bidets better.

I would say it's when water is substituted for toilet paper in the use of the commode.

LOL Ruby that is a funny question but a good one. BTW, my favorite aunt's name is Ruby! A bidet is running water used to clean a person after using the bathroom. It washes away any urine or feces (LOL). Many people in the world use a bidet or some kind of water container to clean after using the bathroom. It makes perfect sense if u ask me. We use one in my home and I can hardly fathom how people don't use 'em. It is mandatory in my religion BTW(Islam). As cleanliness is essential.
