That would mean that they admit that the tax cuts worked and they won't do that

Because it isn't good for the average person. It may look good on paper, but that is because so many people have had to settle for jobs in the service or retail industry so they may have jobs, but they don't pay like the manufacturing jobs did.

Realistically, the average working man is struggling with every day expenses because we no longer have manufacturing jobs. Those are over seas now and the wealth gap is getting bigger and bigger. There is no such thing as a middle class anymore.

Because if they say anything positive, it's a plus for this administration. The liberal media will NOT give this administration credit for anything good that might happen. And if one relies just on the liberal tv or news media for information, they do not get the whole truth. If they gave the whole truth, people might think this administration is helping the country and that wouldn't do well for liberals at all because they might just lose votes.

Then why is the dollar pretty much worthless in foreign countries as compared to when Clinton was in office? Oh and Bush admitting he made a mistake and is now trying to fix it? Great! Too bad it took HOW MANY YEARS to figure that out and how many countries around the world hate us now cause of that dimwit? I remember not too long ago gas was just over a dollar a gallon....THOSE were the days when our economy was'nt bad

The liberal biased media hate President Bush and consequently will refuse, absolutely refuse no matter what, to ever ever run a positive story that would help him (tax cuts worked), and refuse, refuse to ever ever run a negative story that would help him, (Sandy Burglar..).

How can you say that? Record national debt. A tax cut that is responible for almost 50% of that debt (and that's according to CONSERVATIVE accounts). A tax cut that EXTENDED a recession by almost TWO YEARS.

So where do you get off saying that the economy is as good as it's ever been?

John is right, they would have to admit that they were wrong. There are a number of indicators which do suggest that our economy is doing fairly well. We have low unemployment, fairly low inflation, increasing GDP, good stock market, and good sales numbers. In general, the economy is doing fairly well. There are certain industires, mostly manufacturing industries, which are not doing well right now, but the economy as a whole is doing well.

I don't think you are old enough to remember when we had silver coins, limited foreign debt, a decent trade balance, and jobs right here in the US not going overseas. For what its worth, the Liberal Media is not that liberal.

The media does not tell us the economy is bad except when it is bad.

Why don't you go into the media business if you can do better?

The liberal media ignores the record highs in the stock market to show you body counts...its sad. They ignore the victories in Iraq to show you the failures. Its pathetic
