My husband get pissed off and goes on a rant at least once an hour while he's awake and it's over anything and everything. Then he's over it until something new pisses him off. It takes something bigtime to make me mad and as a result I only get mad about once every 3 months. BUT when I do, I tell the offender off in a "take no prisoners" way and then storm off. I don't scream, yell or curse. Then I withdraw and barely speak to anyone for about 3 days before i can get over it. After that, the subject is off limits and I do everything I can to avoid the situation again, because I don't want to get that angry and upset again. My husband says his way is healthier and my anger would not be as intense if I just spouted off everytime I became irritated (which I rarely get and he usually is and I can't understand how anyone could be SO irritated SO much! ). Who's way is healthier?

Instead of expressing anger, perhaps the two of you would be better off understanding and eliminating the causes of your anger.

It's much healthier to be happy most of the time and to have little or no anger.

The problem with expressing anger with other people, is that it usually hurts others in some way and perhaps makes them angry too.

Expressing anger without doing anything to eliminate the cause of anger seems to me like a futile and ineffective way of behaving.

his, he only stays mad for a few hours, you stay mad for days! and you try to stop it before it happes (if it was to come up again) you can NOT stop life... you have to let it run its corse... and for the few days that your storming, everyone in your life is walking on egg shells.... so you need to learn to deal with your fits better
and he needs to stop getting mad at the drop of a hat!
