Try Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. Easy to analyze and put your own meaning to. Don't look at resources. Read slowly and meditate/contemplate as you read, make notes, form your own impressions and meanings and write about them. Elaborate on your notes. Your instructor will recognize the original work and you'll get a better grade than you will from copying from outside resources.

Try Edgar Allen Poe-- I would highly recommend Annabel Lee and Spirits Of The Dead. However, since you said you want poems that aren't terribly long and are easy to analyze, maybe E.A. Poe's Road To Eldorado would be an easier fit. Try Googling "Edgar Allen Poe" and find the site that has all his published and unpublished works on it... there's bound to be one there you'll like. I know, I know... his work's a little obtuse, but as far as I'm concerned, there's still no beating his writing.

Don't know any specific title but look for something by Charles Bukowski (not sure if I spelled his name right) he is what I call blunt and simple has some shorties and should be easy to analyze.

One night i dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I notice two sets of sets of footprint in the sand.
One belonging to me and the other to my lord.
When the last scene of my life shot befor me i looked back at the foot prints in the sand.
Theres was only one set of foot prints.
I realized that this was at the lowest times and saddest times of my life.
This always bother me and i question the lord about my dilemma. "lord. you told me when i decided to follow you.
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
But im aware that during the most trouble times of my life theres is only one set of footprints.
I just dont understand why. When i needed you must. You leave me.
He wispered , "my precious child.
I love you and will never leave you. never: ever.
during your trials and testings.
when you saw only one set of foot prints.
it was then that i carried you ".

splendour in the grass its my favorite movie and poem!!

Though nothing can bring back the hour,
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find,
Strength in what remains behind...
