Assuming that your tubes were tied correctly, you shouldn't be able to get pregnant at all. An ectopic pregnancy (you refer to it as a tubal pregnancy) can occur if your tubes weren't tied right. Basically, when your tubes get tied, your eggs are still being released from your ovaries, but since the tubes are tied, the eggs don't go anywhere or "descend" to your uterus for fertilization. If your tubes aren't tied right, the eggs can not only get fertilized as an ectopic pregnancy, but the egg can also become fertilized in your uterus as a normal pregnancy.

To make it simple, no an ectopic pregnancy will not take place (or a normal pregnancy) because the egg has no where to go, so the sperm will never reach it. Again that is based on the assumption that your tubes were tied right.

A tubal ligation is only as good as the procedure used and the skill of the surgeon. So, they don't always work.

Tubal, or ectopic pregnancies aren't carried to full term, and the fallopian tubes are too narrow for a pregnancy and can't expand. The tube will rupture, the pregnancy will be lost, and the mother can bleed out without relatively quick surgical intervention.

If a tubal ligation was done properly and hasn't come "undone", there can be no fertilization and therefore no pregnancy, as the sperm simply can't reach the eggs.

hello, i just wanted to say i am thinking of you as i have been through the same thing. i had an extopic pregnancy at 10 weeks my right tube was removed. since then i have been taking clomiphene and ovidrel, but no luck for us yet. i guess each situation is different. i also have PCOS and a lazy left ovary. we are hoping to be put on the waiting list for ivf in may. there is always hope, don't give up no matter how hard things get. i will keep my fingers crossed for both of us :o)

do you mean a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy? No. the tube will rupture and possibly kill the mother. if you have an ectopic pregnancy, your dr may be able to give you a shot of methotrexate to end the pregnancy without surgery.

no, you cannot carry a tubal pregnancy to term. there is no room for the fetus to grow. the tube will rupture.

if you mean with a "tubal ligation", then yes, there is a slight chance that you can get pregnant.

Your question makes absolutely no sense. You will lose the baby if it is growing in the tube - and it could kill you too if it ruptures.
