I have an eating disorder and I think this is why I'm depressed. Ever since I gained weight, I can't be happy with how I look. I plan to lose about 30 pounds to make myself happy. even though it is supposedly not healthy. But how else am I supposed to be happy with myself? For those who never had an eating disorder, it may be hard to understand.

It's good to set personal goals and strve to achieve them. But if you've been diagnosed with an eating disorder, take into consideration that you could be damaging your body. So ask yourself, is it worth it?

Have you gotten any treatment for your eating disorder? Although you may like the way you look when you're thinner, your body can't tolerate it. One of my friends died of anorexia at a fairly young age -- hers caused kidney failure, which she eventually died of. Please try to get some help in accepting yourself at a healthy weight.

i know what you mean..i am going through the same thing now....

atleast before we were thinner and happier, we may have been ill but we were happier....

just stay at a weight inbetween that you are okay with..a weight that you dont love but can live with..do it slowly and rembember how bad it feels to be in the midst of your disease..
