Also someone said if you drive aggressive all the time you shorten your engine life. Whats too aggressive? I normally shift at between three and four thousand rpms. I have a 6500 red line.

Its true that the rougher you drive the car the shorter the life span. As far as you shifting it you shouldnt need to go above 3500 rpms unless your passing someone or merging. I have an ls1 but the power band is similar.
